Description
Mystery Perimeters includes an engaging mini-lesson and several practice activities for teaching kids to find the lengths of unlabeled sides of an irregular polygon in order to calculate its total perimeter. Two versions of the lesson and activity pages are included. One uses customary measurement, and all dimensions are given in inches. The other uses metric measurement, and all dimensions are in given centimeters. Mystery Perimeters is aligned with 3rd grade measurement and geometry standards, and it also makes a great review for grades 4 and 5, especially for those students who need a concrete, hands-on lesson to understand how to find unknown polygon side lengths.
