Google Doc Organization – Let’s use this Google Doc spreadsheet to keep everyone’s information in one place. When you’ve decided on your freebie topic or title, add it to the spreadsheet.
Blog Hop Images – I’m working on creating blog hop images, and I’ll share them here when they are ready.
Blog Post Content – February Math Freebies
- Write as much or as little as you want on the topic of free math activities and resources for February. (No product mentions, please.)
- Offer at least one free February-themed math resource, and include a written description and images of your freebie.
- It’s up to you how you deliver the freebie. It could be a direct PDF download from the post, an email opt-in, or a link to the freebie in your TpT store.
- Be sure to mention that you are collaborating with other teacher bloggers and include the blog hop link code at the end of your post. (Inlinkz code will be provided later.)
- You may also mention that we are all collaborating on an exciting math resource to be shared in March. (Let’s discuss how to word this in the Facebook group.)
Blog Link Up – Everyone will include the entire blog hop at the end of our posts and the images will appear in random order every time it is shown. For your image, use a square cover image of your freebie. For the title under the image, use the freebie title or a shortened version of the title.
Blogger / WordPress Blog Hop Code – Click the link below to find the code for this blog hop. Copy and paste it into the HTML at the end of your post. Apparently, it can be used on Blogger and WordPress. (Code will be provided later.)
Blog Hop Dates to Remember
Sometime before Saturday, February 1st, write your blog post, add the Inlinkz code to the end, and save your post in draft mode.
- Saturday, February 1st (Time to be Announced Later) – Publish your blog post. Make sure your freebie links work and check to see if your blog hop code appears properly at the end of the post. Before you start publicizing the event on social media, check to be sure everyone’s blog posts are live.
- February 1st through 29th – Promote the blog hop to your email list and on social media; visit the Bundle of Bundles Facebook group and share links to your social media posts; post about other blog hop members’ freebies.
- March x? – Begin Bundle of Bundles promotion.
How to Add Your Post to the Link Up (To Be Added Later)
You can join the link up as soon as you’ve selected the product you are giving away. To join the link up, you’ll need the permalink of your post and a square image of the product you will be giving away.
- Click the “Add your link” button below.
- In the Link field, enter the URL of the permalink from your post even though it’s not live.
- In the Link Title field write the name of your free product and NOT your blog.
- Enter your email address in the EMAIL field.
- In the Image Source area, choose the source of your image and upload a square image of your product (not your blog logo).
- Click DONE. When you get to the next screen, click the link that says “Take Me Back to the Link Up.” Your image will be there but you will get an error message if you try to click through to your post since it’s not live.
