Description

Pirate’s Luck is an exciting math game of skill and chance that will boost your students’ fluency with addition and multiplication facts. An optional probability lesson is included in the teacher’s guide, but it’s not required to play the game. Printable and digital Google Slides resources are included, so the game is perfect for math centers in the classroom or remote learning at home. It’s also a terrific activity for Talk Like a Pirate Day which takes place on September 19th!

Three variations of the game are included: Pirate’s Luck AdditionPirate’s Luck Multiplication, and Pirate’s Luck Add or Multiply. This resource includes a 55-page teacher’s guide, with lesson plans, printable game materials in both color and black & white, and links to the digital Google Slides versions of the games. The lessons can be taught in the classroom using the printable games or online using the digital ones.

The addition and multiplication games have two levels of play, which makes them ideal for differentiating instruction. The Level 1 games use dice numbered from 1 to 6, and the Level 2 games require dice numbered from 4 to 9. Cut-and-fold dice patterns are provided for creating dice for the printable games.
